- I am a self taught, self-representing artist that tries to spend as much time as possible creating my art and marketing it. Unfortunately a health issue limits my time but I do use every good moment available to work on my love of art. I love to create in various styles and mediums but I am best known for my "Life in Northern Canada" folk art series. I am especially fond of creating functional pieces of art from recyclables. To take a discarded piece of furniture and create a painting on it transforming it into a functional piece of art is my favorite thing to do. It also makes me feel good to recycle something that was destined for the trash. One less piece of waste in the landfill. I find the older I get the more concerned I become with the environment and helping to reduce the waste. I am always happy to take commissions as long as a fair bit of time is allowed. Very funny! Trish, I will certainly add you to my blogroll and I thank you for linking to me. I love your positive outlook, it is very refreshing.
My blogging has been a bit sporadic this summer because the kids are home all day and I don't have much quiet time. But I hope to tinker around with the blog a bit tomorrow.
I totally understand how busy the summer can be with children. I was fortunate that when mine were in school I also worked for the School Board and had the same days off as the children. Only downside with this was that I never had a day home alone!!!! :)
